All'Antico Vinaio originated in 1991 on Via dei Neri in Florence, near the renowned Uffizi Gallery and the Palazzo Vecchio. Initially serving paninis and wine from a historic wine cellar, the Mazzanti family established the business.

The sight of a line stretching from a small panineria towards Piazza della Signoria is a familiar sight to those wandering the streets of Florence All’Antico Vinaio, cleverly blending vino and panino, has garnered worldwide recognition with its little shops on Via dei Neri. This renowned food destination has captivated the hearts of many, leaving them eagerly anticipating a taste of its offerings.

The traditionally Tuscan flatbread, schiacciata, has long been a favorite among locals and quickly gained popularity among tourists and newcomers to Florence eager to savor its deliciousness.

Going two months after they've opened, we still spent forty minutes in line. Was it worth it? Yes! However, I wouldn't wait that long again. I'll go at a less busy time than Saturday afternoon.
